Amritsar-Delhi at a glance!
So the entire Delhi-Amritsar Vacation came to an end in the previous posts with a lot of detailing.
In this post, i shall brief you all on what has to be done and what has to not be done.
Keep this in your minds while planning out your next vacation!
Never book your flights very late. Get your leaves approved (for all those queen bees) well in advance and book up your flights for the cheapest deals.
Do not just wander into a place if you have a tight budget. You will spend more than what you actually want to.
Book your accommodations in advance for getting the best of them for unbelievable prices.
DON'T show off any sorts of fancy items while travelling (you definitely don't want to invite trouble)
DON'T come up with an itinerary where you will be roaming all the days and end up not enjoying the travel. Keep a few spare days and learn to relax and enjoy the vacation.
Do a detail research about the places you are visiting and try to read about it. You definitely don't want to visit all the places which may not interest you, but visit just for the sake of INSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK!!
Try walking a lot from place to place instead of renting cabs. The more you walk, the more you tend to discover interesting things all they way.
Must DOs in Amritsar:
Eat the LANGAR in the golden temple : 5/5
If possible, get the accommodation from the Gurudwaras. They do offer extremely clean rooms for the tourists for an unbelievably affordable price.
Golden Temple visits: in the early morning; in the evening
Stay close to the City centre to avoid unnecessary taxi expenditure
Shop in the roads surrounding the Golden temple. I am rating this a 5/5. Hall Bazaar, Guru Bazaar, Katra Jaimal Singh Bazaar, Lahori Gate Market, Rani Ka Bagh, and Shastri Market are the most popular local markets where you can buy authentic styles and designs.
Eat a LOT OF STREET FOOD!!!! The chole kulche..of course YES!!
Visit the kapada bazaar, Attari border, Jallianwala Bagh, Durgianana Temple ( don't miss the suji golguppe outside the temple streets)
Walk the streets of the Golden Temple during night times to enjoy the chill weathers in winters and drink the hot kesar doodh prepared on the streets.
In the end, do not forget to shop for some Punjabi Juttis, Phulkari clothes and dupattas and yes, the patiala pants for ladies!!!!
